What is heparinoid?
■ Feature
Heparinoid is a component which has a structure similar to “heparin” produced in body. It is polysulfate ester of mucopolysaccharide having excellent water retention properties with many hydrophilic groups such as sulfate, carboxyl, and hydroxyl groups. Heparinoid has been used in drugs and quasi-drugs as an excellent ingredient for improving dry skin by taking advantage of its water-retaining properties. Unlike petroleum jelly, which prevents moisture from evaporating by creating an oil film on the surface, heparinoid penetrates deep into the skin.
